Job summary

ING invites you to join Structured Acquisition Finance Mid Corporates (SAF MC) in Amsterdam as an intern analyst. You will participate in the full deal process, from initial client meetings to modelling, structuring complex financing solutions, and ultimately closing deals.

You will work in a small, collaborative team with exposure to credit risk and other financing departments, supporting Private Equity clients and management teams.

Qualifications

• Analytical mind and eye for detail.
• Ability to understand complex financing structures.
• Fluency in Dutch and English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

From day one, you will be part of the entire deal process, from initial client meetings, modelling & structuring complex financing solutions, to eventually closing the deal. Working with like-minded ambitious colleagues you will grow your understanding of debt structuring and of companies active in a broad range of sectors. As a member of the deal team, you will ensure the best possible credit structure for our clients, in which you have a connecting role, within ING with credit risk and other financing departments, and externally with Private Equity funds, management teams, entrepreneurs and other banks. Role and responsibility

As an analyst at Structured Acquisition Finance Mid Corporates (SAF MC), you work in a self-managing team of around 20 specialists based at ING’s head office in Amsterdam. You are the point of contact for Private Equity clients, who you will support with their acquisitions. We are customer-oriented, and our goal is to always exceed our customers’ expectations. At SAF MC, you will have the opportunity to work in small deal teams of 2 to 3 people in an informal working environment, which will give you a lot of responsibility from the start.

Your Role Will Involve

• Analysing business models, sector trends and financial figures, to model forecasts and scenarios;
• Visiting clients and managing a variety of stakeholders including debt advisors and other lenders;
• Drafting credit proposals, term sheets and lending documentation; and
• Working with departments across ING, such as relationship management teams, credit risk, corporate finance and other lending teams.
