Are you looking for a Project Manager internship at a digital agency? Then our internship might be just right for you! We are looking for a Project Manager intern who enjoys working on our projects and supporting our colleagues!

About Van Ons

Van Ons is a digital agency consisting of 20 programmers and 2 project managers, based in Amsterdam. We build websites, online stores, apps, and platforms. Van Ons comfortable office on the Weteringschans in Amsterdam, we work on exciting projects for our clients. We regularly win prizes with what we make and what we do.

So we dragged several Website of the Year awards inside, we are standing in the Fonk150 list and we have a listing in the EmerceTop100. We build websites for clients such as IKEA, AmsterdamUMC, Mediacourant, the Port of Rotterdam, and De Hypotheekshop. We do this using open-source software like Laravel and WordPress.

About the role

As a Project Manager intern, you will support our project managers in all ongoing projects. You monitor project progress, prepare check-ins with the client, and take action if anything still needs to be delivered to us. You enjoy brainstorming directly with clients and contributing ideas for new features.

At the same time, you have a very practical mindset: if the day doesn't go as planned, you liaise with colleagues to get things back on track. And you take responsibility for what we deliver to the client.

For graduating students, it is possible to combine the work placement with research.

About you

• You communicate well verbally and in writing, in both Dutch and English.
• You're not afraid to push yourself to the limit. Mindset and perseverance are 90% of the work.
• You understand what “ownership” means
• You're good at organizing and planning. Really good at it.
• You delve into the details. You meticulously check what we deliver and whether it's truly what the client requested.
• You pick up the phone when you need to know something quickly instead of sending an email.
• You don't need to be able to program, but you do need to know what a loop is, understand the difference between Laravel and PHP, and understand how DNS settings work.
• You have a technical aptitude and can help explain a project's technical briefing to developers.
• You love the dynamics of an office: keeping multiple plates spinning at once and switching gears quickly.
