Internship – Business Control Out of Home

“This finance internship gives you the opportunity to combine analysis, process improvement and international collaboration while delivering results that are directly useful to the business.”

The internship

Are you interested in Finance, data analysis and process improvement? During this internship, you will help assess and further develop financial controls within an international business services environment. You will analyse current ways of working, identify improvement opportunities and support the implementation of practical and sustainable solutions.

Your main activities will include:
  • Mapping current financial processes and the controls that are already in place.
  • Analysing data and testing whether existing controls operate effectively.
  • Identifying risks, control gaps and opportunities to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Designing or improving controls and documenting clear ways of working.
  • Supporting the implementation and sustainable embedding of improvements.
  • Working with colleagues from Finance and international business services teams.
Your new team and workplace

You will join a Finance team that supports the business through performance management, financial insights and strong process governance. The team works closely with commercial stakeholders and international business services colleagues. You will be encouraged to take ownership of your assignment, ask critical questions and turn your analysis into practical recommendations.

During your internship, you’ll have every opportunity to get to know HEINEKEN as an organization, not just within your own team, but across departments. We trust and empower you to work with an entrepreneurial mindset. At HEINEKEN, we love bringing the outside world in and welcome fresh, new ideas with open arms. Of course, we’ll make sure you get the guidance that suits you.

What a day in the internship could look like

You start the day by aligning priorities with your colleagues and reviewing the progress of your assignment. You may analyse data, document a process or discuss findings with Finance and business services colleagues. Later, you translate your insights into proposed control or process improvement and prepare this for review. Throughout the internship, you will combine independent project work with regular meetings, feedback sessions and opportunities to learn more about HEINEKEN.

We believe everyone has unique talents, which is why we’re looking for you! Energy, drive and the ambition to grow are what make the difference at HEINEKEN. In addition, you bring:
  • You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme in Finance, Accountancy, Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
  • You have an interest in financial processes, internal controls and process improvement.
  • You have an analytical mindset and are comfortable working with data. Experience with Excel or Power BI is a plus.
  • You communicate clearly, work independently and enjoy collaborating in an international environment.

Even if you feel you don’t meet all the criteria, we encourage you to apply. An internship is the perfect opportunity to learn and grow!
