Job summary

The Hague - NL-based International Criminal Court (ICC) invites applications for a Judicial Cooperation Officer (P-3). Under the Judicial Cooperation and Support Section, you will contribute to strategic external relations and cooperation with states and international partners.

Requirements include an advanced degree in law or related field and at least five years of experience in international relations or judicial cooperation, with strong negotiation and diplomatic skills.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in law, political science, international relations or related field; combination with experience may be accepted.
• Five years (seven with a first-level degree) in external or international relations, cooperation, negotiation or international criminal justice is required.
• Knowledge of Rome Statute and ICC Rules of Procedure and Evidence.”

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and develop judicial cooperation activities and external relations initiatives to promote international cooperation.
• Identify opportunities and develop plans, notes verbale, diplomatic correspondence and grant proposals.
• Provide advice on issues related to judicial cooperation and external relations arising from ICC proceedings.
• Coordinate with Country Offices and liaise with diplomatic and state representatives and intergovernmental organisations.
• Engage in meetings, conferences and field missions and present on ICC work and activities.
• Support planning and coordination of Associate Judicial Cooperation Officers.
