Job description
Job Purpose

It is the internal sales employee’s responsibility to contribute to the overall growth strategy through insightful ideas and knowledge of the industry and opportunities. She/he performs analysis, manages customer information, ensuring all client data is up to date, accurate and available.

Main responsibilities
  • Make planning per customer and monitor it, based on deadlines from the planning list
  • Review the program with the salesperson based on sales results
  • Manage preliminary planning, signal problems & monitor deadlines
  • Handle administrative matters regarding customer data / customer file
  • Check administrative matters regarding the order through a sales calculation (bill of materials / order confirmation / show material)
  • Ensure creation and approval of layouts and packaging in accordance with protocol (layout form)
  • Manage manufacturing process of samples and catalogs
  • Collect customer-specific information (barcodes, outer box labels, etc.) for packaging / order processing and process it in ERP system
  • Process sales orders in ERP system on time
  • Specify production orders to be delivered on time
  • Track orders in progress for timely delivery to the customer
  • Maintain customer contact regarding delivery time
  • Coordinate between salesperson, customer and production in case of order processing issues (possibly with product development and sales)
  • Consult with stock management about stocks and sales, signal outcome to seller/customer
  • Coordinate preparations for orders produced abroad, if applicable
The candidate

To be successful in this role the ideal candidate must have:

  • Preferably 3 years of relevant experience as internal sales employee or in a similar role
  • Fluent in Dutch and English (German preferred), with strong communication skills; other language skills are an asset
  • Proficient knowledge of ERP databases and software
  • Detail oriented, with excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work efficiently, accurately and effectively under pressure and with simultaneous deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills
  • A demanding role requiring a “can do” mentality and flexibility (no strict 9–5 in peak seasons)
  • Confidence and the ability to be assertive with senior stakeholders
  • Ability to meet short deadlines and rearrange priorities accordingly
  • Ability to understand customer needs and remain patient, calm and polite in difficult situations
