TomTom in Amsterdam offers an internship where you will join a friendly team of engineers and work on real projects. You will build pages and scorecards in Frontstage using React and TypeScript, while also extending the Watchtower backend with new data sources and APIs.

You’ll participate in full development cycles, with mentorship and agile practices, to deliver features that matter to users. You’ll gain hands-on experience with Kubernetes-related cost features, Backstage, and modern tooling

Formación

• Currently enrolled at a Dutch university until at least September 2027.
• Located in Amsterdam or nearby for commuting at least twice a week.
• Available for at least 32 hours per week.
• Some experience building web applications (React or Node.js).
• Basic knowledge of SQL and databases.
• Nice to have: Backstage, Docker, GitHub Actions or a cloud platform (Azure, AWS or GCP).
• Solid computer science fundamentals.
• Comfortable with English communication.
• Eager to learn and build tools that help engineers.

Responsabilidades

• Join a friendly team of engineers and pick up a project of your own with a mentor guiding you.
• Help build new pages and scorecards in Frontstage using TypeScript and React.
• Contribute to Watchtower backend with new data sources and APIs.
• Work on features that show teams what their services cost on our Kubernetes platform.
• Keep Frontstage up to date with new Backstage releases.
• Participate in the full cycle: understand user needs, design, build, test and release.
• Iterate using agile methodologies with code reviews from the team.
