Job summary

Henkel in Amsterdam invites you to join as a Quality Control Management Intern within the Global Supply Chain Organization. Based at our headquarters, you will support digitalization, method development, and global collaboration to drive operational excellence.

You will work with QC, Engineering and Digital teams on data-driven improvements, documentation, and transfer of analytical methods, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced, international environment.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a Master’s program in Chemistry or related field.
  • Strong interest in quality control management and analytical techniques.
  • Previous internship or project in manufacturing, operations, or quality management is a plus.
  • Analytical and data-driven with attention to detail and ability to derive insights.
  • Strong documentation practices for technical documentation and method transfer.

Responsibilities

  • Support global Quality Control initiatives and digital solutions.
  • Contribute to the rollout of a digital QC Asset Management system.
  • Collaborate with QC, Engineering, Digital and site teams.
  • Help develop, optimize, harmonize, and transfer analytical methods.
  • Prepare technical documentation and method transfer packages.
  • Participate in troubleshooting, data analysis and improvement activities.

What you´ll do
  • As a Quality Control Management Intern in our Global Supply Chain Organization, basedin our global headquarters in Amsterdam, you will support key initiatives in the GlobalCenter of Excellence (CoE), working on projects that drive operational excellence andcontinuous improvement across our organization. This is a unique opportunity to gainhands-on experience in digitalization deployment, method development, and globalcollaboration, while contributing to impactful projects.
  • Support the development and deployment of global Quality Control initiatives,including digital solutions, analytical method standardization, and continuousimprovement projects.
  • Contribute to the global rollout of a digital QC Asset Management system bysupporting equipment data standardization, data migration, process alignment, anduser adoption across laboratory sites.
  • Collaborate with QC, Engineering, Digital, and site teams to improve asset data quality,equipment lifecycle management, and laboratory operational effectiveness.
  • Support the development, optimization, harmonization, and transfer of analyticalmethods to drive consistency and efficiency across the global QC network.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical documentation, method transfer packages, andbest-practice guidance to support global standardization efforts.
  • Participate in troubleshooting, data analysis, and improvement activities to enhance performance.
What makes you a good fit
  • Currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Chemistry, Analytical Sciences, Life Sciences,Biotechnology or a related field.
  • A strong interest in quality control management, analytical techniques, andcontinuous improvement.
  • Previous internship or project experience in manufacturing, operations, or qualitymanagement is a plus.
  • Analytical & Data-Driven: Demonstrate strong analytical thinking, attention to detail,Comfortable working with data, identifying trends, attention to details, and derivingmeaningful insights.
  • Strong Documentation Practices: Demonstrate technical documentation skills and abilityto prepare clear, comprehensive, and well-structured technical documentationsupporting analytical method development and global method standardizationactivities.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to workeffectively in a cross-functional environment focused on quality, standardization, andcontinuous improvement.
  • Proactive & Hands-On: Proactive mindset, eager to learn, and able to take initiative whileworking in a fast-paced global environment.
