Job summary

IFF Netherlands seeks two Consumer Insights Interns to join the Scent team in Hilversum. You will support the setup and execution of consumer research studies, conduct desk research, design questionnaires, and coordinate Home Use Tests, while analyzing data and presenting insights to internal stakeholders.

The internship lasts 6 months (full-time), with an allowance and hands-on experience in a global, consumer-focused organization.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor program in Marketing, Psychology, Business, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of consumer research methodologies.
• Analytical mindset with statistical and modeling skills.
• Excellent English (written and verbal).
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks.

Responsibilities

The Consumer Insights (CI) team plays a key role in the product development process by conducting and analyzing consumer research to understand how to fulfill consumer needs. The team provides insights that support Creative, Marketing, and Sales decision-making. Using tools such as online consumer connects, preference evaluations, and Home Use Tests (HUTs), the team aims to be the voice of the consumer within IFF. We are currently seeking two Consumer Insights Interns to join our Scent team in Hilversum. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in consumer research within a global leader in flavors, fragrances, food ingredients, and health & biosciences.

Where You’ll Make a Difference

• Support the setup, coordination, and execution of consumer research studies
• Conduct desk research to gather relevant consumer and market insights
• Assist in designing questionnaires and test protocols
• Coordinate logistics for consumer studies, including Home Use Tests (HUTs)
• Analyze data from consumer research using statistical and analytical methods
• Supporting the team in preparing presentations summarizing consumer insights and recommendations
• Provide insights on consumer products and fragrances to internal stakeholders

What Makes You the Right Fit

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor in Marketing, Psychology, Business, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of consumer research methodologies
• Analytical mindset with solid statistical and modeling skills (e.g. descriptive, parametric and nonparametric analysis, regression modeling, multifactorial analysis)
• High attention to detail and a structured way of working
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks proactively
• Strong cross-cultural communication skills
• Excellent English language skills (written and verbal)
• Experience with online research tools; programming skills are considered a plus
