Job summary

Hawksford is seeking an Interim Senior Client Accountant Manager for 6 to 12 months to manage a portfolio of corporate clients in Amsterdam and beyond. You will own accounting, VAT, annual accounts, and group reporting for international structures, coordinating with auditors and tax advisers while guiding junior staff.

The role emphasizes strong technical accounting knowledge, problem-solving, and the ability to work independently within a professional services environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in accounting/finance or recognised qualification.
• Strong financial or client-accounting experience in professional services or international environment.
• Experience preparing and reviewing annual accounts, financial reports and reconciliations.
• Experience managing complex client portfolios and meeting deadlines.
• Experience coordinating statutory audits.

Responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of corporate clients with international structures.
• Coordinate delivery of client services and review work for junior/medior staff.
• Prepare and review periodic management and group reporting.
• Prepare and review Dutch statutory annual accounts and VAT where applicable.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and historical issues.
• Liaise with auditors, tax advisers, banks and other professionals as needed.
• Ensure timely and accurate client deliverables and audit trails.
• Support process improvements and knowledge sharing within the team.
