Job summary

NTS Optel in Nijmegen invites students pursuing (Applied) Physics to join an internship/graduation assignment. You will work on developing and testing an interferometric focus sensor, aiming to move the solution from lab to a usable setup.

The assignment includes literature study, performance analysis, proposing improvements, and redesigning for outside-the-lab use; time permitting, a prototype may be built and tested. The stipend is €500 per month with a travel allowance of €0.21 per km.

Qualifications

• Master/Bachelor student in (Applied) Physics (university level)
• Affinity with optics

Responsibilities

• Literature study on interferometric focus sensor.
• Performance analysis of current lab setup and comparison to alternatives.
• Come up with and verify possible improvements.
• Redesign of the system for outside-the-lab use
• If time permits: build a prototype
• Experimentally verify the performance
