Job description

Vanderlande is the market-leading supplier of logistics automation. More than 600 airports use our baggage-handling systems, including 17 of the world’s top 20. We move over 4 billion pieces of luggage every year. We’ve also installed over 440 passenger security checkpoints in airports across the world. Our integrated, end-to-end solutions will keep airports running smoothly. So whether it’s bag drop, storage, sortation, flight make-up or reclaim – we’ve got it covered. From check-in to boarding, you can be sure of a safe and efficient flow of passengers and their luggage – every time.

Your role

As Integration Manager, you are part of the project leadership team and work closely with the Project Manager and engineering leads. You take ownership of the integration and testing of the full system.

You maintain the system overview while others focus on individual components. You translate functional design into a working solution and lead integration and test activities from start to handover.

You identify risks early and act before they impact delivery. You make clear decisions when trade-offs arise and ensure all parts come together into a system that performs reliably in a real operational environment.

What do you do
  • Own system integration from design to handover
  • Translate requirements into a working system design.
  • Define integration strategy, testing, and acceptance.
  • Identify risks early and drive mitigation.
  • Lead the test phases and ensure real progress.
  • Align teams, suppliers, and stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication at all levels.
  • Manage supplier delivery through verification and validation.
  • Integrate subsystems into existing environments.
  • Monitor progress and steer decisions.
  • Ensure a stable, ready-for-operations system at handover.
What you bring
  • You have a technical or logistics education, at least at Bachelor level.
  • Familiarity with customer processes within airport logistics is preferred.
  • You are familiar with systems engineering processes (requirement management, verification and validation, change management and configuration management)
  • You build strong, effective partnerships with customers and internal and external suppliers.
  • You have a proven ability to balance quality, lead time, and cost.
  • You have well-developed analytical skills, and you think at system level
  • You have good communication skills in English (written and verbal) and use those to motivate people at all levels and act as a teambuilder.
  • You’re willing to travel, for about 50% of your time. Travel depends on the project phases.
  • Because of the environments in which our systems operate, such as airports, a security clearance (VOG and in some cases VGB) can be part of the role.
