Job summary

Givaudan in the Netherlands (Naarden) is seeking an Integrated Beverage Solutions Expert to develop juice-based compounds for European Beverages customers. You will work on reactive briefs and bring proactive ideas to deliver consumer-preferred and differentiating beverages.

Join the RI Creation & Application team to evaluate flavours, develop recipes, provide technical service, share expertise, and maintain safety in the lab. Travel within Europe may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science or equivalent.
• At least 7 years of relevant working experience in the food industry, particularly beverages juice based compounds.
• Good knowledge of English (spoken and written).
• Willingness to travel to support customers in Europe.

Responsibilities

• Develop integrated beverage solutions and modify juice-based compounds to meet commercial, technical and legal needs.
• Evaluate and select flavours and support flavourists with keys for juice-based applications.
• Develop beverage application recipes and concepts for customer projects and capability demonstrations.
• Provide technical service to customers and support trial productions of new recipes.
• Build and share expertise and participate in regional and global innovation initiatives.
• Prioritize safety by maintaining a clean and organized lab environment.

As an Integrated Beverage Solutions Expert in our Taste and Wellbeing division , you will contribute to our business growth by developing beverage juice based compounds for our Beverages customers in Europe. You will work on reactive customer briefs, but also come with pro-active ideas that will help our customers bring consumer preferred and differentiating beverages on the market. We are looking for an integrated beverage solutions expert , with expertise in a varied range of beverages, where juice based compounds are of particular importance. You will be part of the RI Creation & Application team will be based in Naarden, Netherlands.

This includes evaluating performance and stability of our integrated solutions and supporting transfer of our solutions from lab to industrial production scale.Evaluate and select flavours: you will select and apply new or existing flavours into integrated beverage solutions; support flavourists with the creation of flavour keys suitable for juice based compound application; identify appropriate flavour delivery systems and technologies.Develop beverage recipes: you will develop new beverage application recipes as well as concepts for customer projects and capability demonstrations.Provide technical service to our customers: you will be responsible for technical customer communication to achieve a positive outcome of projects; work with our customers to optimize their recipes; support our customers in trial productions of new recipes, or implementing integrated beverage solutions from Givaudan.Build and share expertise and know-how: you will support regional and global innovation initiatives, provide training to internal groups and customers, and connect with other regional and global experts.Prioritize safety: you will maintain a safe, clean and organized lab environment in accordance with safety policies and hold others accountable for following these guidelines.

Your Professional Profile Includes

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science or equivalent
• At least 7 years of relevant working experience in the food industry, as beverages Juice based compound and/or emulsion developer or Beverages Application technologist with expertise in integrated beverage solutions
• Good knowledge and understanding of both product recipes and main processes of beverage manufacturers
• Practical experience in food manufacturing and flavour applications
• Technological problem solving skills
• Well-developed olfactory and sensory skills
• Good knowledge of English (spoken and written)Strong and experienced project manager
• Excellent communication, presentation skills
• Strong customer focus (internal and external)
• Team-focused work style
• Willingness to travel to support customers in Europe.
