Job summary

Atlas NextWave is seeking a driven professional to lead the installation phase of major offshore projects. You will collaborate with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders to ensure comprehensive installation documentation and timely delivery.

You will support project start-up, planning, execution and close-out, coordinating activities and ensuring adherence to safety, quality and contractual requirements. Fluency in English is essential, with German or Dutch a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience working on offshore cable installation projects.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • German or Dutch language is an advantage.
  • Project management training or certifications are an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Review detailed engineering reports, both internally prepared and developed by subcontractors.
  • Review and, when required, develop method statements, procedures and RFPs for subcontractors.
  • Manage installation deliverables within the project document list, ensuring delivery according to schedule, budget and contractual requirements.
  • Support internal and external project reporting.
  • Ensure project execution follows best practices, company procedures and policies.
  • Support project management with ad-hoc requests and proactively addressing project challenges.
  • Manage the System Engineering requirements related to the installation scope of the contract.
  • Capture, analyse and share lessons learned throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support contract management and procurement activities, including claim management when required.
  • Support and cover Project Installation Manager responsibilities during holidays or peak workload periods.
  • Travel to subcontractor locations, installation sites (onshore and offshore) and customer meetings when required.
  • Be flexible to work weekends during peak installation periods.

Job description

Take the lead in the installation of our customer projects Are you interested in working directly within our core business and contributing to the successful installation of major customer projects? Do you have experience within the offshore industry and want to apply your technical knowledge and project management skills in an international environment? As part of the Installation Department, you will work in a global and dynamic environment, supporting the successful execution of large-scale offshore projects and leading the installation scope together with experienced project professionals. Support and drive the installation scope

As part of the project installation team, you will support the Project Installation Manager on one of the largest projects within our portfolio. You will work closely with subcontractors, clients and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. You will take responsibility for coordinating the activities required to deliver the complete installation documentation package. This includes supporting the project throughout all phases, from project start-up, planning and preparation through execution and final close-out.

To succeed in this role, you are a strong communicator who can effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. You are capable of building and maintaining strong working relationships in a complex international project environment. You are a proactive, independent and service-minded professional with a strong technical interest, excellent negotiation skills and a high level of responsibility. You are also comfortable managing installation projects of different sizes and have the ability to identify challenges, propose solutions and successfully implement improvements throughout the project.

Your background:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BSc), preferably a Master’s degree (MSc), within Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience working on offshore cable installation projects, preferably in an engineering or project management role.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Knowledge of German or Dutch is an advantage but not a requirement.
  • Project management training or relevant certifications are considered an advantage.
