Job summary

Iron Systems, Inc is seeking a Packaging Technician to ensure that all assets are securely packaged, labeled, and staged for their final disposition (Reuse, Remarket, or Scrap). This role maintains packaging material inventory and ensures 100% compliance with client-standard packaging configurations to prevent damage during transit.

The position requires handling packaging tasks, operating scanners and label printers, and following QA checklists to guarantee accurate labeling and safe handling

Qualifications

• 2+ years of packaging, shipping, or warehouse fulfillment experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure labels and packaging match disposition requirements.
• Experience with scanners, label printers, and packaging tools.
• Ability to follow structured QA checklists and visual reference guides (Redbook).

Responsibilities

• Compliant packaging: Repackaging and supplemental packaging per client configurations.
• Maintain packaging material inventory to ensure 100% availability.
• Prepare, sort, and secure items into staging areas by disposition path.
• Palletization & labeling: Wrap, strap, and label outbound pallets per guidelines.
• Work area maintenance: Keep packaging station clean, organized and safe.

• Material Management: Maintain packaging material inventory levels to ensure 100% availability for the daily operations team.
• Disposition Staging: Prepare, sort, and secure items into designated staging areas based on disposition paths (Reuse, Remarket, or Scrap).
• Palletization & Labeling: Securely wrap, strap, and label outbound pallets according to transport guidelines.
• Work Area Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe packaging station.
