Job summary

The Magnum Ice Cream Company in Amsterdam seeks an Innovation Procurement Business Partner to drive procurement's contribution to innovation, renovation and export projects across Europe. You will connect innovation teams with external suppliers, translating brand ambitions, supplier capabilities and supply risks into clear sourcing strategies and decisions.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified or equivalent relevant experience.
• FMCG experience preferred.
• Experience in Innovation, Procurement, R&D, Supply Chain, Project Management or a related business function.
• Procurement experience is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead Procurement’s contribution to EU innovation, renovation and export projects from concept through launch.
• Represent Procurement in gate reviews and key decision forums.
• Translate business, Marketing and R&D requirements into sourcing strategies and procurement actions.
• Assess supplier feasibility, capability, capacity, lead times, risks and commercial impact before decisions are locked.
• Partner with Category Buyers to ensure sourcing, contracting and execution plans are launch-ready.
• Build cross-functional alignment, manage dependencies, resolve obstacles and keep multiple projects on track.
• Shape the innovation pipeline for iconic brands including Magnum, Cornetto and Ben & Jerry’s
• Influence key commercial and supply decisions from early concept through to launch
• Bring supplier innovation, new technologies and market insights into the business
• Build senior stakeholder exposure and develop broad innovation, commercial and leadership experience across the European business

The role

The Innovation Procurement Business Partner, EU leads Procurement's contribution to innovation, renovation and export projects across Europe.

The role connects TMICC’s innovation teams with the external supplier ecosystem, translating brand ambitions, supplier capabilities and supply risks into clear sourcing strategies and business decisions.

From concept through launch, the role influences commercial and supply choices that enable successful launches, incremental growth and improved gross margin.

We're Looking For Someone Who

• Degree qualified or equivalent relevant experience.
• FMCG experience preferred.
• Experience in Innovation, Procurement, R&D, Supply Chain, Project Management or a related business function.
• Procurement experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Strong project management and prioritization skills, combined with sound commercial judgement
• Ability to influence stakeholders across functions and levels, building strong partnerships that deliver results
• Confident communicator who can translate complexity into clear recommendations and actions
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, cross-functional environment
• Passion for innovation and turning ideas into successful consumer launches
• Curious, proactive and solution-oriented
