Job summary

Next Ventures seeks an experienced Infrastructure Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale infrastructure across cloud, on-premises and hybrid environments. You will define infrastructure strategy, roadmaps, and security while supporting major transformation programmes, working with security, network, cloud and platform teams to deliver resilient, cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Infrastructure Architect, Technical Architect or Solution Architect.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise infrastructure technologies.
• Experience designing solutions across Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory / Entra ID, Virtualisation, Storage and Networking, Security.
• Strong understanding of public cloud platforms: Azure, AWS and Google Cloud (desirable).
• Experience with hybrid cloud and migration programmes.
• Knowledge of disaster recovery, business continuity and high-availability design.
• Experience producing architecture documentation and standards.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end infrastructure architectures across cloud, hybrid and on-premises environments.
• Develop infrastructure roadmaps aligned to business objectives and technology strategy.
• Lead architecture design workshops and provide technical leadership across projects.
• Produce high and low-level design documentation (HLDs/LLDs).
• Define standards, governance and best practices for infrastructure services.
• Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, performance and availability requirements.
• Support cloud transformation, data centre migration and modernisation initiatives.
• Collaborate with security, network, cloud and platform teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Review existing infrastructure and identify opportunities for optimisation and automation.
• Provide technical assurance and architectural oversight throughout project lifecycles.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale infrastructure solutions across cloud, on-premises and hybrid environments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for defining infrastructure strategy, creating architecture roadmaps, ensuring scalability and security, and supporting major transformation programmes. You will work closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, security teams and project delivery functions to design resilient, cost-effective and future-proof infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end infrastructure architectures across cloud, hybrid and on-premises environments.
• Develop infrastructure roadmaps aligned to business objectives and technology strategy.
• Lead architecture design workshops and provide technical leadership across projects.

• Kubernetes and container platforms.
• DevOps methodologies and CI/CD.
• Zero Trust security principles.
