Job summary

Samotics seeks an Information Security Officer to own our information security end-to-end as the company scales. You will propose, implement, and continuously improve measures and policies to protect us and our customers’ data, while keeping our ISMS fit for purpose.

The role requires moving between policy and hands-on tasks, from awareness training to reviewing supplier security posture and preparing ISO 27001 audits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of information security experience.
• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, or related field.
• Strong communication skills to explain security to engineers and leadership and translate conversations into action.
• Sharp attention to detail and staying current with information security threats and practices.
• Pragmatic, driven, open, team player with stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrable use of AI in work with real impact.

Responsibilities

• Own information security end-to-end from proposal through implementation to continuous improvement.
• Maintain and improve the Information Security Management System as the company grows.
• Oversee information security audits, including ISO 27001 audit.
• Drive annual IT audit as part of mandatory financial audit.
• Communicate security goals and measures across the company and provide awareness training.
• Collaborate with teams across Samotics to surface improvements and vulnerabilities.
• Verify third-party suppliers meet security requirements.
• Analyze security incidents to identify root causes and implement preventive measures.
• Test and improve the business continuity plan.
• Lead and develop one security specialist.
