Job summary

ESA's Security Office (ESO) at ESTEC, Noordwijk, Netherlands seeks an Information Security and Accreditation Officer to lead security activities for the RNC Directorate, reporting to the ESO Security Manager and coordinating with the ESA Security Board.

The role covers implementing security measures, risk assessment, security marking, and accreditation milestones, while coordinating the ESO security assurance team and providing training and briefings to staff and onsite contractors.

Qualifications

• Security and system engineering experience required.
• Strong background in cyber security, policy and standards.
• Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel and operate in a multi-national environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate ESO RNC Security Assurance Team under the RNC-X Security Manager.
• Lead independent security risk analyses for the Directorate’s programmes and activities.
• Support establishment of RNC security assurance status and PL1/PL2 security implementation.
• Contribute to programme security accreditation objectives and milestones.
• Develop and document local security policies and markings.
• Provide security briefs to newly appointed ESA staff and onsite contractors.
• Maintain security awareness programmes and report on improvements.
