Job summary

European Space Agency (ESA) seeks an experienced security leader to head the EOP Security Office, oversee risk management, and ensure compliance with security directives and international frameworks. You will coordinate with ESO, C-SOC, and the EOP IT lead, and drive security awareness across the Directorate.

The role requires a Master’s in a relevant field and 5 years of experience, with mobility between ESA sites, including Noordwijk (NL) and Frascati (IT).

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in security, information assurance, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in governance of security frameworks and international policy.
• Proven leadership and ability to operate across technical and political levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the EOP Security Office activities and risk management.
• Ensure security directives compliance and ISO aligned audits and inspections.
• Coordinate with ESA Security Office, ESO, C-SOC and EOP IT leads in security matters.
• Develop and implement security awareness, training, and certification programs.
• Represent the Directorate in ESA and EU security governance forums.
