Job summary

Imec Netherlands is seeking an Information Security Officer to be the key security contact for our Dutch organization, ensuring practical guidance and governance across the business. You will drive risk assessments, compliance efforts and liaison with government authorities in a dynamic research environment.

You will join imec’s Corporate Security Office, collaborating with teams in Belgium and the Netherlands, and you will support audits, policy development and security clearances for sensitive

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in information security, risk management, compliance or security governance.
• Strong knowledge of security standards and frameworks such as ISO 27000 series, TISAX & NIST.
• Ability to translate technical risks into clear business language.

Responsibilities

• Translate security strategy into practical policies, processes and guidance for imec Netherlands.
• Act as the main security liaison between imec Netherlands, Corporate Security Office, ICT, business teams and external stakeholders.
• Monitor Dutch and European security legislation and translate requirements into concrete actions.
• Perform security risk assessments for applications, technologies, projects and business processes.
• Advise business and ICT stakeholders on risk mitigation, security controls and exception management.
• Support compliance with frameworks such as ISO 27001, TISAX, CyFun, NIST and other standards.
• Coordinate security compliance for government-funded, defence, aerospace and other security-sensitive projects.
• Act as Security Officer for imec Netherlands and coordinate personnel security clearance processes.
• Liaise with Dutch, EU and NATO security authorities when required.
