Job summary
M.W. Watermark is seeking a Controls Engineer to join its engineering team in the Netherlands.
The role focuses on designing, programming, and commissioning automation systems for recessed chamber filter presses, using AutoCAD Electrical and Rockwell/Siemens/Keyence PLC software. You will develop schematics, PLC/HMI software, and integrate components such as light curtains, VFDs, and sensors, while ensuring compliance with customer specs and industry standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent hands-on experience.
- 3+ years in industrial automation.
- Experience with Allen‑Bradley ControlLogix/CompactLogix.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical and Rockwell Automation tools.
Responsibilities
- PLC Programming: develop and troubleshoot PLC ladder logic using Studio 5000, RSLogix, and Siemens TIA.
- HMI Development: create operator interfaces with Rockwell, Siemens, and Keyence tools.
- Electrical Design: design control panels, schematics, BOMs with AutoCAD Electrical.
- Electrical within Skid Limits: integrate remote I/O, VFDs, sensors and safety devices.
- System Integration: support machine control integration into DCS (DeltaV/PlantPAx).
- Service Support: remote troubleshooting and on-site startup when needed.
- Commissioning/Support: onsite startup, debugging and validation of equipment.
- Standards: ensure UL508A, NEC, IEC 61131 and NFPA compliance.
- Continuous improvement: contribute to process and product improvements.
- Other duties as assigned by Engineering Manager.
