Job summary

Tecwave B.V. in the Eindhoven region seeks a Control Design Engineer to join the EIC team. You will design and program PLC and HMI solutions for petrochemical renewables projects, delivering high-quality installations with autonomy and growth opportunities.

The role requires a bachelor in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics, 2–5 years of PLC experience (Siemens), PCS7 knowledge is a plus, and fluency in English. Dutch is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Experience programming PLCs and process installations.
• Knowledge of PCS7 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and program PLC systems per IEC 61131-3 and project specs.
• Set up structured alarm systems from E&I inputs.
• Develop clear HMI screens and test PLCs.
• Support commissioning on site and remotely.
• Draft technical specifications for suppliers and subcontractors.
• Manage software versions and documentation.
• Collaborate with E&I and other technical teams.
• Monitor deviations and resolve issues.
