Job summary

Alstom in Ridderkerk is seeking an Industrial Controller to join the Finance team. You will monitor production costs, control costs across sites, and support operational decision-making with robust cost reporting and KPI dashboards.

You will collaborate with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement and Project teams to align financial and operational goals, driving continuous improvement and accurate cost allocation. English fluency is essential; Dutch preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in finance, controlling, or industrial cost management.
• Experience in manufacturing/industrial environments is highly desirable.
• ERP systems experience is an advantage.
• Strong cost accounting and financial analysis skills.
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to handle large datasets.
• Understanding of budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting processes.
• Fluent in English; Dutch preferable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse production costs, variances and efficiency improvements.
• Track and manage production orders in ERP for correct cost allocation.
• Reconcile labour hours between tracking tools and ERP systems.
• Provide cost-to-date and estimate-at-completion reporting.
• Prepare regular financial analyses and KPI scorecards.
• Monitor material and production balances, including MRP reporting.
• Support monthly closing, forecasting, budgeting, and planning activities.
• Assist with audits and ensure financial controls and compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement in reporting quality and accuracy.
