Job summary

Prysmian in Eindhoven seeks a Software Equipment Engineer to translate maintenance and process needs into practical software solutions for in-house production machinery and R&D equipment. You’ll work independently or with suppliers to deliver reliable software improvements.

The role requires a HBO-level degree in a technical field, 3–5 years of relevant experience in software development within machine building or industrial automation, and a good command of English.

Qualifications

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree HBO in a relevant technical field (Software Eng preferred).
• 3–5 years of relevant work experience in software development for machine building or industrial automation.
• Basic VCA certificate or willingness to obtain one.
• Excellent English language skills (mandatory).

Responsibilities

• Translate requirements from maintenance and process teams into concrete software designs and documentation.
• Manage software configuration control and MES systems, including version management and CE documentation.
• Collaborate with suppliers and technicians to resolve technical issues and improve equipment software.
• Perform technology watch to identify obsolete equipment and material replacements.
• Travel to factories to support and train equipment engineers and technicians.
