Job summary

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) Operational Centre Amsterdam (OCA) is hiring an Indirect Procurement Advisor to centralize and strengthen our procurement framework for indirect spend. You will lead policy development, supplier vetting, and KPI-driven management across departments to ensure value for money and compliance.

The role requires at least 7 years in procurement within international settings, strong negotiation and stakeholder skills, and a willingness to relocate to the Netherlands.

Qualifications

• Educational background in procurement, supply chain or business administration.
• At least 7 years of experience in procurement, sourcing or supply chain in an international organization.
• Experience with sourcing strategies, negotiation, stakeholder management, process improvements, contract management, change management, and project management.
• Highly organized and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communicator and stakeholder engager with a professional network relevant for the organization.
• Based in or willing to relocate to The Netherlands.
• Nice to have: Dutch NGO experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide centralized procurement guidance for MSF OCA indirect procurement across departments.
• Develop and implement policies, processes and procedures for indirect procurement.
• Lead sourcing, tendering, supplier selection and negotiations to ensure compliant procurement.
• Develop and manage indirect procurement KPIs and data analytics for informed decision making.
• Collaborate with Head Office and Global Procurement Unit to align procurement opportunities.
