Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Transmission & Distribution Engineer to join the Energy Transition team in the Netherlands. You will develop designs for substations, cables, and overhead lines and work with multi-disciplinary colleagues on national and international projects.

You will coordinate feasibility studies, earthings, and transient analyses, while delivering reports and cost estimates. Dutch is a plus; English required. Hybrid work with a home office allowance is offered.

Qualifications

• Completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Power Engineering
• Affinity or experience with transmission & distribution tech
• Experience with high/medium voltage design or engineering
• Familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, Elcad, Primtech or PS CAD is a plus
• Strong communication and teamwork across disciplines
• Proactive, eager to learn, results-oriented
• Dutch language an advantage; good English required

Responsibilities

• Develop technical designs and engineering deliverables for transmission and distribution projects (substations, cables, overhead lines)
• Act as technical contact for clients from initial contact to delivery
• Conduct feasibility studies, earthing calculations, field and transient studies
• Coordinate with CAD engineers and external parties to deliver safe, cost-effective solutions
• Prepare reports, cost estimates, and technical documentation
• Collaborate with international teams across projects
• Contribute ideas for process improvements and new technologies
• Participate in knowledge sharing and foster an inclusive work atmosphere
