Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding in Hoofddorp is hiring a Customer Relations Specialist who acts as the primary point of contact for customers and the link between all parties in the import process.

You will liaise with customers, carriers, airlines, customs and internal teams, proactively track shipments, inform customers of status, and handle administrative updates in our system. Rotating shifts (including weekends) are required, with potential for hybrid work in the long run.

Qualifications

• Strong Dutch and English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing import shipments from start to finish.
• Daily communication with customers, carriers, airlines, customs, and internal teams.
• Proactively informing customers about shipment status and lead times.
• Administrative updates in the system and ensuring accurate billing.
• Processing rates, handling claims, and identifying improvement opportunities.
• Maintaining strong customer relationships and spotting business potential.
