BME, Europe's leading building materials distributor, is seeking a Group Business Controller to join our Finance team at the headquarters near Schiphol. In this high-visibility role, you will partner with Finance Directors and Managing Directors across multiple European Operating Companies, delivering financial insight, challenging performance, and enabling strategic decision-making.

• Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business or related field.
• 7+ years in Business Controlling, FP&A, Finance or Consulting.
• Strong analytical and commercial mindset with the ability to translate numbers into business decisions.
• Experience in an international, matrix or private equity-backed environment is highly preferred.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Fluent in English (Dutch and/or German is a plus).
• Hybrid model: three days on-site at Schiphol, two days home-office.

Responsabilidades

• Partner with Operating Companies to improve business performance through financial analysis and actionable insights.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning and performance management cycles.
• Challenge financial results, identify risks and opportunities, and help drive corrective actions.
• Coordinate Group reporting, including management presentations for senior leadership.
• Review business cases, Capex investments and post-investment performance.
• Support value creation initiatives within BME's Together We Build strategy.
• Benchmark performance across Operating Companies and share best practices.
• Develop reporting, dashboards and KPI frameworks that enable better decision-making.
• Work closely with Group Controlling, Accounting & Reporting, and Transformation teams on strategic projects.
