Job summary

Avendar, based in the Netherlands, is seeking a full-stack developer for a hybrid role in ’s-Hertogenbosch. You will ship features end-to-end, talk to users directly, and handle sensitive data in a regulated environment.

You’ll work with the founding team and government customers, building software that supports investigators across public safety and intelligence, with a modern Python/Next.js stack on PostgreSQL.

Qualifications

• Experience with modern web frameworks (Next.js/React).
• Strong backend engineering: data models, queries, APIs.
• Security-aware by default in feature design and data handling.
• Experience deploying production software (Linux, CI/CD, containers).
• Fluent in Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Own features end-to-end in a web application for investigators in public safety and intelligence.
• Work with government customers to understand problems and translate them into working software.
• Build software that handles sensitive government data with accuracy and security.
• Manage and improve our bare metal infrastructure in the Netherlands; no cloud reliance.
• Make technical decisions shaping the platform for years to come.
