Job summary

InAxtion is seeking an experienced HVAC Mechanic/Foreman for a long-term petrochemical project in the Dordrecht region. You will install and assemble air ducting systems and prefab venting pipe sections on site, manage fixed connections, and operate a mobile workshop.

Strong ability to read technical layouts and work safely is essential. Candidates with experience in lifting prefab sections, knowledge of industrial ventilation systems, and English communication will excel.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as HVAC mechanic/Foreman or in a similar role.
• Experience with ventilation systems and industrial installation work.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and lay outs.
• Willingness to obtain relevant safety certifications is a plus.

HVAC Mechanic - Petrochemical Project | Regio Dordrecht

Are you an experienced HVAC Mechanic looking for a long-term project in the industry?

Do you have experience with air ducting systems, prefab components and installation work on site? Then InAxtion is looking for you!

Due to the start of a new project, we are looking for skilled HVAC mechanics / Foreman to join our team on an Industrial project in the Dordrecht region. You will be responsible for installing and assembling air ducting systems and prefab venting pipe sections on site, working with fixed connection points and a mobile workshop.

Also you are acquainted with lifting and hoisting prefabs into position and reading technical Lay Outs.

Your responsibilities

• Measuring in Air Ducting routes on site.
• Adjusting and modifying prefab sections to fit the actual site conditions.
• Installing and assembling ventilation pipes in the actual HVAC system on site.
• Working with prefab ventilation sections and related components.
• Lifting, positioning, and securely fastening sections.
• Connecting air duct systems to fixed connection points.
• Working with a mobile workshop and professional tools.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, Lay Outs and installation instructions.
• Checking dimensions, connections, and installation quality.
• Identifying and resolving installation and fitting issues in the field (as build)
• Working safely and according to applicable industrial standards and site procedures.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and professional working environment.

What we are looking for

• Proven experience as an HVAC mechanics/ Foreman, Ventilation / air Duct mechanic, Mechanical Fitter or in a similar role.
• Experience with ventilation systems and industrial installation work.
• Experience working with ventilation piping and HVAC systems in general.
• Experience with prefab components and adapting them to on-site conditions.
• Ability to measure and adjust Air Duct routes accurately.
• Experience with lifting, positioning, and securing large or prefabricated sections is an advantage.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and installation instructions.
• Strong technical insight and practical problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and take responsibility for the quality of your work.
• Good communication in English is required.
• Dutch language skills are a positive plus.
• VCA certificate or willingness to obtain one.
• Relevant petrochemical/site safety certifications are an advantage.
• Valid driver's license (Category B) is an advantage
