Job summary

Hotel De L'Europe Amsterdam zoekt een hands-on Evening Housekeeping Supervisor om het team in de avondshift te coördineren en te ondersteunen bij schoonmaaktaken. Je houdt het overzicht, motiveert het team en assisteert waar nodig.

Qualifications

• Ervaring in hotelreiniging, bij voorkeur met supervisie.
• In staat een team te leiden en te motiveren.
• Hands-on en bereid om mee te helpen bij de schoonmaak.
• Onafhankelijk, verantwoordelijk en overzicht kunnen houden.
• Nauwgezet en gericht op hoge kwaliteit.
• Goede beheersing van Engels; Nederlands is een voordeel.
• Beschikbaar in avonden en minimaal twee weekenden per maand.
• Woonachtig in Amsterdam of omgeving.

Responsibilities

• Verdeelt het werk en stuurt het housekeeping-team aan.
• Controleert de kwaliteit van kamers en publieke ruimtes.
• Werkt mee met het team bij drukte of extra taken.
• Zorgt voor tijdige afronding van de avondplanning.
• Bevordert collega’s en helpt nieuw personeel bij onboarding.
• Geeft defecten en belangrijke informatie door aan de Housekeeping Manager.
• Zorgt dat hoge normen voor kwaliteit en veiligheid worden nageleefd.

An eight-month employment contract with a one-month probation period and the possibility of a permanent contract.

Omschrijving functie

Wij bieden Gross hourly wage between €16.70 and €18.44, starting from 20 years old.

Salary paid every four weeks, giving you 13 payments per year.

Travel allowance of €0.14 per km when travelling at least 20 km per day.

8% holiday allowance, paid in May.

10% accrual of holiday hours and a 5% year-end bonus.

26 holiday days based on full-time employment and an additional day off on your birthday.

Jouw baan As Evening Hands-on Housekeeping Supervisor

You coordinate the housekeeping team during the evening shift. You keep an overview of the work, support your colleagues and help with the cleaning when needed.

Your tasks include:

• Dividing the work and guiding the housekeeping employees
• Checking the quality of the cleaned rooms and public areas
• Working alongside the team when extra help is needed
• Making sure the evening planning is completed on time
• Motivating colleagues and helping new employees during their onboarding
• Reporting defects, shortages and important information to the Housekeeping Manager
• Ensuring that the hotel’s quality and safety standards are followed

Working schedule

You work between 20 and 25 hours per week: From 17:00 to 22:00 4-5 evenings per week Flexible vailable from Monday to Sunday.

Qualifications and experience

• Experienced in hotel cleaning, preferably with some supervisory experience
• Able to lead, motivate a support a team
• Hands-on and willing to help with the cleaning
• Independent, responsible and able to keep a good overview
• Detail-oriented and focused on delivering high quality
• Good command of English; Dutch is an advantage
• Available during evenings and at least two weekends per month
• Living in Amsterdam or the surrounding area
