Job summary

Clink Hostels in Amsterdam is seeking a part-time, fixed-term Housekeeping role to maintain guest room cleanliness and support overall hostel operations.

You will clean rooms, make beds, manage room status updates, and coordinate with maintenance to ensure timely guest readiness and tidy public areas. The position emphasizes teamwork and a welcoming hostel vibe for travelers.

Qualifications

• Ensure housekeeping standards are strictly monitored and followed.
• Follow a task list to prioritise key rooms depending on occupancy levels on a daily basis.
• Cleaning rooms, making beds, emptying trash and making sure the common areas are clean and tidy.
• Meeting with relevant parties to review business & occupancy status and follow up actions.
• Updating the room status in the system to ensure clear communication about the daily priority lists.
• Work with maintenance to report any issues with rooms that need to be resolved and prioritise in order of urgency.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on any out of order rooms/beds and ensure they are ready for guests as soon as possible.
• Ensure any master keys issued are tagged and returned.
• Conduct a stock take of supply on a weekly basis ensuring there is a minimum level of stock maintained e.g. linens etc.
• Help us to curate the vibe of the hostel by creating a relaxed, friendly and social atmosphere where guests feel encouraged and supported to connect with fellow travelers.
• Working as a team to help create seamless guest experiences.

Your mission

Your main objective in this role is to ensure overall cleanliness of the entire hostel to maintain our guest experience standards. You will be responsible for cleaning rooms, making beds and working with all teams in the hostel, ensuring the rooms, bathrooms, kitchen, bar and all other public areas are kept clean, safe and tidy. This is a hands‑on role, working as part of a great team.
Your job is helping us make sure travelers leave wanting to tell their friends about Clink and book their next stay.

Your profile
