Job description

Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It

Things break. Lights flicker. Doors squeak. And that’s where you come in. As our Maintenance Engineer, you’re the go‑to fixer, problem‑spotter, and calm‑in‑the‑chaos presence that keeps our hotel running smoothly behind the scenes. You work side by side with the Maintenance Manager to make sure guests, students, and teammates feel comfortable, safe, and taken care of every single day.

From quick repairs to preventative checks, you’re hands‑on, practical, and always one step ahead. No two days look the same, and that’s exactly how you like it. You’re part of the local hub team, trusted to take ownership, work independently, and jump in where needed.

What You’ll Do

  • Handle day‑to‑day maintenance issues across the hotel, from plumbing and lighting to locks and small repairs
  • Complete daily walkarounds and keep indoor and outdoor areas clean, safe, and looking sharp
  • Carry out preventative maintenance checks to spot issues before they become problems
  • Tackle minor painting and cosmetic fixes when things need a refresh
  • Support and coordinate external contractors when specialist work is needed
  • Keep an eye on stock levels for tools, materials, and spare parts
  • Jump in on ad hoc tasks and support the Maintenance Manager when required

What You’ll Have

  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar maintenance role, ideally in hospitality
  • Strong hands‑on technical skills and enjoy fixing things yourself
  • Specialized in plumbing
  • Calm under pressure and like solving problems on the spot
  • Work independently but enjoy being part of a close‑knit team
  • Flexible with tasks, schedules, and changing priorities
  • Speak the local language fluently
  • Positive, professional, and guest‑friendly attitude to everything you do

What We Offer

  • Opportunity to work at a dynamic, multi‑national company, challenging convention and defining the future
  • The opportunity to work for a Certified B Corp® company that balances profit with positive impact, collaborating with organizations such as Movement on the Ground and the TSH Talent Foundation to create meaningful change
  • Chance to learn and grow in your role with the potential for future growth
  • Awesome discounts in all our properties in Europe for you, friends, and family
  • A wonderful workplace full of events, fun colleagues, and all the other amazing salary/benefits stuff

We welcome people no matter their nationality, gender, age, sexual orientation, religion or culture. Your authenticity keeps our team diverse. Come as you are.
