Job summary

Ritchie Bros. in Moerdijk, Netherlands, is seeking Equipment Inspectors to join the Detailed Equipment Information (DEI) team.

You will perform accurate visual inspections of heavy equipment, evaluate wear, damage, hour meter readings, and conduct basic functional testing to ensure asset data quality. Key duties include gathering and verifying inventory information, detailing components and asset records, and supporting the Sales team with appraisals in field conditions while prioritizing safety

Qualifications

• Fluency in Dutch and/or English.
• Prior experience in equipment management or inventory control is preferred.
• Knowledge of industrial or agricultural equipment, trucks, and trailers.
• Proficiency with computers and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel) and digital cameras.

Responsibilities

• Gather and verify equipment inventory information (contract proofs, serial numbers, additions).
• Identify and record equipment components, accessories, and asset details.
• Verify equipment descriptions against our Equipment Standards Manual.
• Ensure data quality of equipment records and related information.
• Verify requirements for warranty items where applicable.
• Photograph and document equipment images for records.
• Assist the DEI Team as needed.
• Support Sales with appraisals and field write-ups during peak periods.
• Promote safety as a core value for all team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
