Job summary

Marktplaats in Amsterdam is seeking a Head of Paid Media to lead our paid media strategy across Benelux, reporting to the Chief Growth Officer. You will guide the paid media team, manage relationships with agencies and partners, and drive data-driven investment decisions that balance short-term performance with long-term growth.

The role requires deep expertise in digital performance channels, strong commercial judgement and the ability to translate complex data into actionable business

Qualifications

• 10+ years of digital and performance marketing experience.
• Experience leading Paid Media or Growth Marketing in a consumer-facing digital business.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and commercial judgement.
• Ability to translate data into clear commercial recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• Proven agency/partner management experience.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the long-term Paid Media vision across Benelux.
• Lead, develop and inspire the Paid Media team and cross-functional partners.
• Own the Paid Media budget and allocation across channels and markets.
• Collaborate with IMM, Brand & Content, CRM, Analytics and MarTech to drive outcomes.
• Negotiate with media agencies and Ad Tech partners to optimize performance.
