Job summary

Vattenfall in Amsterdam is seeking a Head of MetOcean to lead a team of highly skilled specialists and set the strategic direction for the MetOcean discipline within our offshore wind program.

You will translate complex marine and weather data into practical insights that enable safer operations, better decision-making and sustained value across development, construction and operation of Europe's offshore wind projects.

As Head of MetOcean, you will lead a talented team of specialists whose work helps shape some of Europe's most ambitious offshore wind projects. Together, you will turn complex weather, ocean and environmental data into insights that support better decisions, safer operations and stronger project outcomes.

This is a highly visible leadership role where you will combine people leadership, strategic thinking and technical oversight. You will help create the conditions for your team to thrive while ensuring that MetOcean expertise continues to create value across the entire offshore wind project lifecycle.

Working closely with colleagues across Development, Engineering, Project Delivery and Operations, you will play an important role in reducing uncertainty, managing risk and supporting the successful development, construction and operation of offshore wind projects.

You Are Likely To Have

• Experience gained within offshore wind, marine industries, energy, environmental services, large-scale infrastructure projects or a similar complex environment.
• Experience managing programmes, budgets, consultants and strategic initiatives.
• A passion for continuous improvement, innovation and developing people.

Experience in one or more of the following areas would be valuable

• MetOcean studies and assessments.
