Job summary

SHAERP B.V. is seeking a Head of Global IT Security to lead a ~10 FTE team, shaping the global security strategy and ensuring compliance while enabling rapid delivery. The role blends hands-on security with strategic oversight across international IT environments.

You will drive security controls, incident response, and governance, collaborate with auditors and senior stakeholders, and mentor the team to develop expertise in cloud, networks, and secure coding practices.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in IT / Information Security, including leadership experience.
• Strong background in complex, international IT / cloud / infrastructure environments.
• Proven experience with security frameworks and certifications (ISO 27001, SOC 1 Type 2, HIPAA, NEN 7510 or similar).
• Hands-on experience with operational security (SOC/SIEM, vulnerability management, incident response).
• Comfortable working with senior stakeholders across multiple countries and entities.
• A clear, decisive leader who's able to coach and develop a team.
• CISSP or comparable certification is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver operational security services: firewall management, pen testing, endpoint protection, SOC/SIEM, vendor security assessments, security awareness, secure coding.
• Own and improve the security control framework and certifications (ISO 27001, SOC 1 Type 2, HIPAA, NEN 7510).
• Drive and improve the security incident response process end-to-end.
• Safeguard and further develop security policies and the ISMS.
• Ensure global networks and systems comply with security policies and standards.
• Act as key counterpart for auditors, customers, security consultants and, where needed, law enforcement.
• Full people management responsibility for the team, hiring, performance, development.
