Are you an experienced freight procurement professional with a strong track record in ocean freight, tender management, contract negotiations and freight index developments? We are looking for a commercially driven negotiator who knows how to challenge suppliers, negotiate complex freight contracts and translate market developments into competitive transport rates.
As Head of Global Logistics Procurement, you play a strategic role within the international supply chain organisation of Heuschen & Schrouff. You are responsible for the complete freight procurement process, from sourcing and tender management to supplier selection and contract negotiations.
You analyse transport flows and develop sourcing strategies across multiple transport modes, including deep sea, short sea, inland waterways, rail and road transport. In addition, you manage logistics solutions across different temperature regimes, including ambient, chilled and frozen goods.
As a key business partner to management and various departments, you provide strategic advice on freight procurement, logistics networks and sourcing strategies. You translate market intelligence, freight index developments and transport data into effective procurement decisions that strengthen both efficiency and scalability throughout the supply chain.
