For GEA Weert we are seeking a Head of Engineering & Development.
In this strategic leadership role, you will be responsible for driving innovation, overseeing engineering projects, and managing the product development process.Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping our product portfolio, ensuring technical excellence, and driving the success of our organization. Additionally, you will utilize your leadership skills to empower and maximize the potential of your team. Your ability to communicate effectively, adapt to changes, and think strategically will be vital in achieving outstanding results.
Develop and execute engineering & development strategy aligned with product management and company targets.
Lead and develop a high-performing team of engineers and product developers.
Drive the development of innovative and competitive products and technologies from concept to industrialization within budget and timeline.
Collaborate with external & internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams for successful product launches and lifecycle-management.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement in engineering processes and tools.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards and quality requirements.
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field (Master’s preferred).
8+ years of engineering experience, with 5+ years in a leadership role in machinery or industrial equipment (packaging industry preferred).
Proven track record in product development, from concept to launch.
Strong knowledge of mechatronic design, automation and manufacturing processes.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder landscapes and build cross-functional alignment.
Highly results-driven with a focus on execution, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Excellent leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving skills.
Entrepreneurial mindset with high adaptability, strong ownership mentality
Fluent in English and Dutch, German is a plus.
