Job summary

Independent Recruiters Groep BV is seeking a strategic Head of Data Governance & Architecture for a leading international asset manager in Amsterdam. You will design, operationalize, and scale the Data Governance and AI Governance framework while leading a multidisciplinary team.

You will bridge Data Office strategy with risk, compliance and delivery teams to ensure data traceability and high quality, enabling scalable, responsible AI adoption.

Qualifications

• Master degree or equivalent in Economics, Finance, Information Management, Business Administration or CS.
• 7–10 years of leadership experience in Data Governance/Data Management within asset management/financial services.
• Proven ability to design and operationalize data governance frameworks and decision-making structures.
• Strong understanding of data governance and AI interplay for trustworthy AI.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a multidisciplinary team (Data Governance, Metadata, Data Quality, Analysts, Architecture).
• Develop and execute the Data Governance and AI Governance strategy and roadmap.
• Integrate traditional data governance with AI governance, ensuring data quality and privacy compliance.
• Collaborate with Data Office strategy, risk & compliance, and delivery teams to ensure traceability and quality.
