Job summary

ONE HUNDRED is seeking a Hardware Reliability Lead to own the reliability, scaling and future-proofing of our hardware ecosystem, with a focus on access gates. You will reduce hardware failures, coordinate with suppliers and train technicians to work independently across Europe.

You will analyze failure data, drive maintainability improvements, and bridge field realities with engineering to enable rapid, scalable deployment across locations. English required; travel across Europe is expected.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience managing, maintaining, or improving physical hardware
• Track record boosting quality and reliability, reducing defect rates
• Comfort using tools to diagnose and repair hardware
• Experience coordinating suppliers, manufacturers, or maintenance partners
• Ability to create technical documentation and train technicians remotely and on-site
• Familiarity with preventive/corrective maintenance and performance reporting
• A practical, curious, calm mindset with a strong sense of ownership
• Enthusiasm for a fast-growing international environment
• Willingness to travel across Europe (~1 weekend/month)

Responsibilities

• Own reliability, scaling, and future-proofing of hardware across European locations
• Improve build quality by collaborating with component suppliers
• Design for maintainability and scale access gates and connected devices
• Bridge field realities with structural engineering and provide tech ownership
• Train technicians remotely and on-site; create clear documentation and SOPs
• Maintain uptime and reduce recurring hardware failures; provide remote support
• Coordinate troubleshooting with suppliers, manufacturers and partners
• Ensure hardware, payment systems and related devices are reliable and scalable
• Support international roll-out and testing of new hardware
