Job summary

Independent Recruiters is seeking an IT Infrastructure Team Lead for an international fertilizer manufacturer in Amsterdam. This hands-on leadership role combines managing three IT technicians with 80% practical technical work across VMware, backup/restore, and end-user computing, and 20% strategic planning.

You will drive SLAs, budgets, KPIs, and IT projects while collaborating with global teams, ensuring compliance with infrastructure standards.

Qualifications

Technical expertise in IT infrastructure, including VMware, Microsoft 365, and server OS.
Proven leadership with ability to guide onsite technicians and align with organizational goals.
5+ years IT operations; 3+ years in international/distributed IT; project management/ITIL experience.
Bachelor's degree in CS or Information Systems preferred.
Fluent English with strong communication and planning skills.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of three technicians and oversee daily operations.
Perform 80% hands-on work including VMware, backup/restore, and end-user computing.
Synchronize operational models, set priorities, and ensure SLA compliance.
