Job summary

WLG in Brunssum seeks an experienced infrastructure engineer to deploy and maintain core services for a mission network. You will configure, integrate and validate systems before deployment, maintain health, and author handover documentation.

You will manage VMware estate (vSphere, vSAN, NSX), Veeam backups, and Microsoft core services (AD, Exchange, DNS). You’ll handle third-line incidents with root-cause analysis and keep records up to date.

Qualifications

• Three years in a comparable infrastructure role with relevant qualification (A+ or equivalent).
• Expertise in VMware vSphere and Veeam backups for DR and replication.
• Strong Microsoft server administration: Windows Server, Exchange, AD, DNS.
• Experience with SAN/iSCSI storage and endpoint protection tooling.
• Proficient written and spoken English for handover notes.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure and validate the core services layer and prepare for handover.
• Run the VMware estate day to day and manage storage/backups.
• Administer Microsoft core: AD, Exchange, DNS, group policy, deployment.
• Handle third-line incidents with root-cause analysis and closure.
• Maintain accurate documentation and configuration records.
• Report monthly on service performance against measures.
