Job summary

Mövenpick Hotel Amsterdam is seeking a Group Coordinator to be the first contact for group bookings and to create unforgettable experiences for our guests. You will handle requests, discuss client wishes, and manage contracts from A to Z while coordinating with Hotel & Events teams in Amsterdam and The Hague.

Responsibilities include processing rooming lists, upselling, site inspections, and ensuring seamless communication between organizations and guests.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming group booking requests from A to Z.
• Discuss client wishes, prepare competitive cost estimates and group offers, finalize contracts.
• Process rooming lists in the reservation system and coordinate with departments.
• Maximise revenue through upselling and pricing strategies.
• Welcome accounts and arrange site inspections; liaise with Operations for smooth delivery.
• Maintain documentation and communicate agreements to hotel teams.

At a unique location in one of Amsterdam's major hotel and event venues, you are faced with a new challenge. As a Group Coordinator, you are the first contact for group bookings and play a key role in creating unforgettable experiences for our guests for our hotels. From handling and selling various requests to discussing the specific wishes and requirements of our clients in detail, you know exactly how to exceed expectations. You create a plan, arrange the contract, and ensure that all other related matters run smoothly. You motivate yourself and make sure that the business comes in. Successful group reservations are your goal, and you keep this in mind. This also means that you sometimes give tours in the hotel and to work closely with the organization and ensuring that reception and housekeeping staff receive the right instructions. If you do your job well, along with your colleagues, the booking becomes an experience for the customers and, therefore, a great success. There are no limits to your abilities. In addition, you will be:

• Responsible for group bookings from A to Z, including:
• Handling incoming requests.
• Discussing wishes and requirements with the client, preparing competitive cost estimates and group offers, finalizing contracts, and making definitive arrangements.
• Processing the rooming lists from the Conference & Events department in the reservation system.
• Maximizing revenue through upselling and pricing strategies.
• Being responsible for welcoming accounts and arranging/conducting site inspections.
• Acting as the link between the organization and its clients.
• Managing administrative tasks, such as processing agreements and communicating them to colleagues in the hotel’s operational departments.
• Applying hotel policies regarding cancellations, no-shows, etc;
• Being responsible for after-sales follow-up.

In this position, you will work Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00. You will work for Mövenpick Amsterdam and Mövenpick The Hague and based in Mövenpick Amsterdam.

You must have:

• Fluent written and spoken knowledge of the English language, and preferably the Dutch language as well.

• A monthly gross salary of between €2.505 and €3.032 in accordance with scale 5 of the Collective Labour Agreement for the Dutch hospitality and catering industry;
• A contract of 38 hours per week.
