Job summary

Mövenpick Hotel Amsterdam City Centre in Amsterdam is seeking a Group Coordinator to be the first contact for group bookings and to craft unforgettable experiences for our guests. You will handle requests, discuss client wishes, and coordinate contracts and related arrangements to exceed expectations.

Join a collaborative team of six to ten colleagues in a 4-star setting overlooking the river IJ. You’ll upsell, manage rooming lists, site inspections, and act as the link between clients and hotel

Qualifications

• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Dutch language knowledge preferred.
• You are precise with administration and numbers.

Responsibilities

• Handle group bookings from A to Z, including incoming requests and contracts.
• Discuss client wishes, prepare competitive cost estimates and group offers.
• Process rooming lists from Conference & Events in the reservation system.
• Maximize revenue through upselling and pricing strategies.
• Welcome accounts and arrange site inspections; liaise with hotel departments.
• Maintain documentation, contracts, and communications with clients and teams.
• Apply hotel policies on cancellations, no-shows, etc.; follow up after sales.

• Responsible for group bookings from A to Z, including:
• Handling incoming requests.
• Discussing wishes and requirements with the client, preparing competitive cost estimates and group offers, finalizing contracts, and making definitive arrangements.
• Processing the rooming lists from the Conference & Events department in the reservation system.
• Maximizing revenue through upselling and pricing strategies.
• Being responsible for welcoming accounts and arranging/conducting site inspections.
• Acting as the link between the organization and its clients.
• Managing administrative tasks, such as processing agreements and communicating them to colleagues in the hotel’s operational departments.
• Applying hotel policies regarding cancellations, no-shows, etc;
• Being responsible for after-sales follow-up.

In this position, you will work Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00. You will work for Mövenpick Amsterdam and Mövenpick The Hague and based in Mövenpick Amsterdam.

You have a bubbly personality full of enthusiasm and drive. You What makes you happy is working with a large team and feeling the rush of achieving good results. You are a driven sales person, very precise when it comes to administration, you are enthusiastic about working with numbers. You keep an overview of small and large requests, and you don't like to say `no’ to a request "Yes, we can" sounds better to you. You must have:

• Fluent written and spoken knowledge of the English language, and preferably the Dutch language as well.

• A monthly gross salary of between €2.505 and €3.032 in accordance with scale 5 of the Collective Labour Agreement for the Dutch hospitality and catering industry;
• A contract of 38 hours per week.
