Job summary

IMC invites applications for a Graduate Quantitative Researcher role, launching with a six-week Global Trainee Programme led by seasoned engineers and traders from Europe, the US, and Asia-Pacific. After training, you’ll join a team of quantitative researchers, developing and refining strategies for global markets with mentorship and recognition for your ideas.

Successful candidates will be in the final year of an MSc or PhD in a quantitative field, have programming experience

• In your ultimate year of a MSc or PhD in mathematics, physics, astrophysics, or a related quantitative field, and are seeking to join IMC full-time in February or August 2027
• Experience in a programming language (e.g. Python, Matlab or C++)
• First-class quantitative and analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail
• A genuine interest in financial markets (no prior knowledge or experience is required)

Job description

Your IMC journey as a Graduate Quantitative Researcher begins with a six-week Global Trainee Programme led by our seasoned engineers and traders alongside graduates from all three IMC regions: Europe, the United States, and Asia-Pacific. During this traineeship, you will deepen your knowledge about trading and financial markets, IMC’s trading strategies, and our proprietary trading systems. Your training will continue back at your local office, where you’ll receive support from your dedicated mentor, an experienced quant researcher at IMC. Following the programme, you will join a team of quantitative researchers, where you’ll play a key role in exploring and shaping strategies in global markets. You’ll receive recognition for your ideas and successes every step of the way.

YOUR CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
