Job summary

The ING Nederland CTS CoE & Oversight Lead is a senior global tax leadership role responsible for guiding a ~10 FTE team across multiple locations. The role focuses on strengthening governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance in client tax, translating complex regulations into scalable standards and building strong global expertise.

Qualifications

• University or postgraduate degree in a relevant field.
• 10+ years' experience in global financial services.
• 5+ years in management roles, preferably with tax experience.
• Extensive client tax and regulatory expertise, including CRS/FATCA, withholding tax and reportability decisions.
• Capability to design and run a global Centre of Expertise.
• Strong governance, process improvement and data-driven decision making.
• Fluent English communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tax Product expertise to advise countries, product lines, and product owners
• Define business requirements towards the Tax Product Area for changes in tooling and solutions, and for Tax Operations and locations. Own and drive the continuous development, sharing, and scaling of expertise by building and nurturing a strong knowledge community
• Build and maintain the global CTS community for all CTS products, including country alignment calls, tracking progress, issues, and targets
• Set reporting frameworks that provide operational insights and enable data-driven decisions to improve tax processes and operations
• Coordinate with second line of defense and Tribe on relevant activities, including defining target model, translating policies into business requirements, and performing business impact assessments
• Act as a bridge between strategic intent and operational execution
• Set up learning plans and paths based on new developments, gaps, and requests from countries and business lines
