Job summary

IMCD Group B.V. in Amsterdam is seeking a Sourcing & Supply Planning Specialist to strengthen our international supply chain team.

You will secure product availability through effective planning, purchasing, and supplier collaboration across global networks. The ideal candidate has procurement or sourcing experience, a Bachelor's degree, strong negotiation and communication skills, and hands-on ERP and Excel proficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing, supply planning, procurement or sourcing.
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Proactive, energetic and results-oriented mindset.
• Experience with ERP systems, Excel and planning data.
• Strong ownership and follow-through.
• Ability to work independently and within an international team.
• A valid EU work permit.
• Experience within chemicals, manufacturing or B2B distribution is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchasing based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, lead times, and safety stock;
• Create and monitor purchase orders and supplier deliveries;
• Proactively identify and mitigate supply risks to ensure product availability;
• Maintain accurate planning and purchasing data in the ERP system;
• Collaborate with Customer Service and Sales teams to align supply with demand;
• Continuously improve planning parameters, purchasing processes, and system efficiency.
