Job summary

Fortive Corporation (SE) is seeking a Test Engineer to develop and optimize electrical and automated tests for global service growth. You will work with metrology, manufacturing engineering, quality, and IT to ensure robust test systems and measurement confidence across service sites.

The role requires 3+ years in test engineering, a bachelor’s in electrical engineering, and experience with LabVIEW, Python, and C#.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in test engineering or similar environments.
• Knowledge of electrical measurement, instrumentation, and test system design.
• Familiar with metrology concepts like traceability and calibration processes.
• Experience with automated test systems and software (LabVIEW, Python, C#) a plus.
• Lean/FBS practices and structured problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Develop, standardize, and optimize electrical and functional test methods.
• Improve throughput, accuracy, and cycle times in service workflows.
• Define test system specs including instrumentation and testing logic.
• Troubleshoot complex test issues and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with metrology, manufacturing, quality, and IT teams.
• Support roll-out of standardized tests across global sites.
