Job summary

1GLOBAL is seeking a Deputy CISO to run its security function across a multi-jurisdictional telecom environment. You will lead the Cyber Defense team, act as Incident Commander for major security events, and oversee global security technologies and governance.

The role requires 10+ years in cybersecurity with 5+ years in operational leadership, strong telco security expertise, and experience with GSMA standards and enterprise platforms.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in cybersecurity including 5+ years in leadership roles.
• Proven incident commander in production environments, ideally telecoms.
• Deep telco security knowledge across core protection, signalling, and cloud-native environments.
• Experience implementing enterprise security platforms at scale (SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, IAM/PAM).

Responsibilities

• Lead the Cyber Defense team and daily security operations across a distributed telecom environment.
• Serve as Incident Commander for significant security incidents with playbooks and readiness programs.
• Oversee design, deployment, and lifecycle management of security technologies (SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, IAM/PAM).
• Own telco-specific security domains including network core protection and 4G/5G security.
• Manage security risk register and coordinate remediation, testing, and audits.
• Oversee Security Engineering governance and ensure secure design across IT, Cloud, and Product.
